As we enjoy having cooperation with other students NGOs, last month we had a project together with the Youth Network Blue Sky – Macedonia. The event took place in Skopje, from 20th of March until 27th of March, and it was supported and financed by the Youth in Action Programme from the European Commission. It was called „Let the World See You“, an event where around 35 participants from different countries learned how to make and publish creative magazine. Here you can find more about the project.
After two-year break of LTCs, AEGEE – Skopje organized LTC (18.02.2011 – 21.02.2011) for it’s members and non-members, people interested in joining the network. We had around 40 participants at a small village near Veles, Bogomila, who actively participated in the LTC’s workshops. They could learn a lot about public relations, communications skills, project management, multiculturalism, decision-making process, team work, motivation and human resources, leadership, fund raising etc. and implement the gained knowledge during the practical parts. We had a new attraction during the LTC, the new-invented AEGEE – Skopje dance

Besides the learning part of the event, we had thematic parties, such as: sex-change party, traffic light party and drinking games night. You can take a look at the photos from LTC in the web site’s gallery
In December, AEGEE – skopje joined the „Youth UnEmployment“ project action days with organizing two workshops on subject within the unemployment of the youth nowadays. The first one, on December 10th, was the „All About Getting a Job“ workshop where the trainer talked about job-finding, how to apply, how to coordinate your skills and qualifications with the employer’s requirements, how to prepare your CV, motivational letter etc. During the first workshop we cooperated with Bojan Jovanovski from the National Center for Development of Innovation and Enterprenurial Learning. The second one, on December 17th, was the „Volunteering – it’s still working experience“ workshop where it was talked about how can volunteering help you have working experience in your CV, look good as volunteer in front of the potential future employer and get you the wanted job. At this workshop we had guest from Slovakia, Ondrej Masier, an EVS volunteer in Macedonia, who shared his volunteering experience with us. There were around 100 students interested for both workshops. The Red Bull team were our guests, giving energy drink to the participants during the breaks. Every participant got certificate for attendance at the end of each workshop.
